» Emma Says that Pelosi is Fixated on the Money Instead of What is Good for America
Here is a nice 5-min piece by Emma titled » Pelosi's MILLIONth Trump-Impeachment Excuse (12 Sept 2019) ..
.. where she argues that Nancy Pelosi is a lapdog for the Establishment, who is fixated on money instead of what is good for America .. i.e. » impeaching Trump.

John Heilemann seems to confirm Emma's assertion that Pelosi makes one excuse after another for why she doesnt want to impeach Trump because she is too scared and doesnt have the stomach for anything but raising money.
The term fixation is defined as »
A concept (in human psychology) that was originated by Sigmund Freud (1905) to denote the persistence of anachronistic sexual traits. The term subsequently came to denote object relationships with attachments to things persisting from childhood into adult life.
Given this definition, I find interesting Emma's choice of terms.
Because I have long been making the argument that the Great Depression affected the older generation ..
.. to the point that it permanently warped and deformed their value-structure ..
.. thereby making money the most important thing to them. (Their god whom they worship devotedly and serve religiously.)
I like Emma. I have never heard her say a single thing that I disagreed with. Sometimes she gets frustrated with the bullshit, and I will think, "I feel your frustration, girlfriend."
» Bill Maher is an Arrogant Prick
Oh, look .. here she is calling Bill Maher an arrogant prick (21 Sept 2019).
This is why I love her.
It is only too obvious why the currently expiring generation (born in the 30's and the 40's) is not concerned with setting up the younger generation of Americans for success.
» Pelosi's Generation Doesnt Care About the Future Because they Won't be Here When It Goes to Shit
Because they won't be here. When we we finally learn that we are too late to save the planet, they'll no longer be here. AOC's generation will be left to deal with the consequences of their sriminal environmental negligence.
» Spare No Expense to Save the Banks, but Fuck the Planet
I bet that Greta Thunberg knows what I am talking about. "If congress is willing to save the banks at all costs" Greta argues, "then they should be willing to save the planet."
She makes a valid point .. no?
This is why the values and the priorities of the expiring generation suck so badly. One of the reasons, anyway.
» Interesting Commentary on the Rift Created by the Generational Divide (Pelosi vs AOC)
There is an interesting commentary here (15 April 2019) on the Majority Report of an interview that Lesley Stahl did with Nancy Pelosi for 60 Minutes.
.. where Lesley Stahl is calling bullshit to Nancy's face on Pelosi's attempt to minimize and downplay the widening rift caused by the generational fracturing of the Democratic party (29 vs 79).
Speaking of the past and the future...
Hillary (age 71) and the entrenched Democratic establishment does NOT represent the future .. and this is why they can go fuck themselves .. the sooner the better.
It's just a matter of time now. Dont say you werent warned.
» AOC the Centrist Advocates for Policies that Benefit the Broad Majority of Citizens
AOC and her like are simply trying to move the national pendulum back to the levels of inequality that we had 40 years ago.
This is why Nick Hanauer calls AOC a "centrist" (at t=6:20) ..
.. because her policies are designed to benefit the broad majority of citizens .. and not just a handful of super-rich Billionaires .. who already have more money than they know what to do with.
I wonder what Krugman thinks of this.
A similar portion of the American people also feel that the Carried Interest tax loophole should be eliminated.
So why does it keep existing year after year? .. despite politicians all claiming publicly that it should be eliminated .. in order to make the tax laws less accommodating to the super-wealthy.
Go ahead and take a wild guess.
At t=8:00 she provides part of the reasoning and rationale behind her opinion and why she feels this way.
She makes this statement to Ta-Nehisi Coates, who is a leading educated voice representing the black experience in America. He is the guy who wrote the piece titled » I'm Not Black, I'm Kanye (7 May 2018).
» On the Cusp of a New Political Epoch
Michelle writes here (15 Feb 2019):
If we are in fact on the cusp of a new political epoch, then a sweeping, idealistic plan for social transformation is not a wild fantasy but a practical necessity.
Where she references Yale political scientist Stephen Skowronek's concept of "political time." Food for thought.
