» Must Drop the Initial HTML Set-Up for this Page by Midnight Tonight

For some reason that I am not entirely sure about .. I feel compelled to post this particular page on this very day .. with this title.

[ Right now the time is 11:44 PM, and this page is live. That is cutting it a little close.]

Such mandatory things frequently (not always) seem to come when you are least prepared .. and you simply have to suck it up and throw it down.

» The Sneaky Way that Life seems to Bring Its Bigger Challenges When You Feel Least Prepared to Respond

I have noticed that what I call 'nadir writing,' where you are giving external voice to internal voice .. when you really dont feel like it, physically speaking ..

This type of writing forces you to dig deeper .. to someplace beyond you own human abilities and talents and skills and strengths. Or, at least this is the way it feels.

I guess my point here is to say that, although the timing of such things might seem to suck .. if you can find a way to suck-it-up and throw-it-down .. you can get some really cool stuff .. that you can get no other way.

Plus it feeds your sense of artistic self-confidence when you are able to strike while the iron is hot, so to speak, and capture lightning in a bottle.

When you can execute a complex skill-set on demand in short order .. and even when you might not feel like it .. but you are able to do it anyway .. this is a powerful thing.

This is a powerful person. This is someone who can kick ass and take names. This a powerful person kicking ass and taking names and making it look easy .. even though it is far from easy. Very far. (Katy Perry and Cardi B know what I am taking about.)

» The Battle Line has been Drawn with an Economic Sword

If the Republicans can "primary" a candidate who they view as too moderate .. then, so can the Dems .. despite what Cheri Bustnuts might have to say about it.

Smug DCCC chair Cheri Bustos draws a battle line with an economic sword because she is all about the money (9 April 2019)

Not everybody is about the money like you are, Cheri.

Smug DCCC chair Cheri Bustos trusting in the money to work for her and the Old Guard by starving representatives of the Next Generation (9 April 2019)

You'll see what I mean .. sooner or later. You look so smug here. This is because you are trusting in the money.

» AOC's Policy Positions have Widespread Support Among the American People

I could not agree more with the things that Anand is saying, and the things that AOC is saying, and the things that JLaw is saying.

Which is why I am citing their comments here. Poll after poll show that an overwhelming majority of Americans agree with them.

» Money in Politics is the Root Cause of America's Problems for 99% of Americans

Perhaps I should simply note here that, in response to your discussion here .. the root cause of the socioeconomic problems in America today .. are the result of money in politics.

Public opinion means nothing to most of our elected officials because our politicians are beholden to their donors.

You can read all the books you like about progressive vs conservative .. but until you get the money out of politics .. things are only going to get worse for Us the People.

AOC knows what I am talking about (21 March 2019).

AOC the Phenom, Time magazine cover story by Charlotte Alter (21 March 2019)

Over the last 40 years we have had progressive presidents and we have had conservative presidents. And yet, the only constant is that .. (pause for effect) .. the rich get richer while the rest of us just work harder (more productively) for the same wages.

This is because we have a government that is of-the-Rich, by-the-Rich and for-the-Rich.

This is why the wealthiest have increased their share of wealth by 100% (doubled) in the last 40 years, and yet the average American has gone nowhere economically. They are just working harder for the same thing that they earned 40 years ago.

Why is that Steph? Why is America working great, socioeconomically, for the ultra rich .. but for nobody else?

AOC the centrist says that a socioeconomic system that permits billionaires to exist amid such economic hardship is immoral and wrong (30 Jan 2019)

Where she says (at t=0:40) that an economic system that allows billionaires to exist amid such widespread economic hardship .. is wrong. It is downright immoral.

Speaking of spineless politicians .. Ben Sasse likes to criticize the shortcomings of the youth .. but he has yet to grow a constitutional spine and stand up to Trump's executive overreach.

Ben Sasse likes to criticize the shortcomings of the youth, but he has yet to grow a constitutional spine (14 March 2019).

This is what senators are supposed to do, Ben. They are supposed to act as a check and a balance on executive overreach.

This is how the Constitution was designed to operate .. to thwart to corrupting effects of power.

I know that you know this, Ben .. because I know that you call yourself (at t=1:20) a constitutional conservative.

All that you need to do now is to grow a spine .. a constitutional spine .. and stop abdicating your constitutional responsibility.

» Public Support Means Nothing to Congress Because They are All About the Money

JLaw knows the type of spineless politicians that I am talking about .. the ones who care only about the money.

» Show Me the Moral Excellence

Next time you see Mike Pence, ask him what he thinks about his boss being a gigantic tax cheat. Ask him how that sits with his values .. with his sense of moral excellence. With his sense of right-n-wrong.

How does that sit with his sense of patriotism?

» A Political Statement

Oh, I see you are getting political there in Tennessee. (My brother lives on a mountain top in Tennessee.)

Taylor Swift gets political in Tennessee (8 Oct 2018)

This is a nicely-crafted statement. Kind of ballsy. Margaret says that it took lots of courage to post such a statement .. citing what happened to the Dixie Chicks.

This is how a democracy is supposed to work. We need to call out bullshit when we see it.

This whole Kavanaugh fiasco must be infuriating for women.

I saw this other video where the guy says that pretty much everything is political now (at t=2:10) .. because it has invaded so much of our life.

Trump's Reality-TV version of the White House has crept into so much of our life that it is hard to get away from. Just when you think that you've seen it all, and that this administration can't possibly go any lower .. Trump proves you wrong.

Both you and this guy who says that everything is political now .. both you and her are "going political" for the first time.
