More Strikingly Ignorant Things to Say

This page originated here .. in an entry titled » A Strikingly Ignorant Thing to Say (1 May 2018).

Speaking of strikingly ignorant things to say .. check out Kanye's absurd perspective on the #MeToo movement.

Kanye's absurd #MeToo perspective with Letterman (31 May 2019)

That was a very stupid thing to say. I bet that Ellen would agree.

Ellen DeGeneres talks with David Letterman about her experiences of sexual abuse at the hands of her stepfather (31 May 2019)

He is telling you how the #MeToo movement makes some men feel. It makes them feel uncomfortable and afraid. He articulates why these men feel this way.

With an opinion and perspective like that .. I guess it is not so surprising that Kanye snatched away the mic from Taylor.

I wonder what Jennifer Araoz thinks of what Kanye said about the #MeToo movement.

Jennifer Araoz says that Jeffrey Epstein raped her when she was 15. (10 July 2019)

I wonder what Ken Starr thinks of Kanye's striking comments on #MeToo movement.

Ken Starr helps defend sexual predator of minors Jeffrey Epstein (8 July 2019, The Darkness of Corruption)

Because he always seems to take the side of wealthy male predators, and defends them from young, vulnerable girls.

Baylor Univ report on findings regarding Ken Starr's response to reports of sexual assault (2016)

What gives Ken? Why do you so often take the side that tries to protect men who prey on young, vulnerable girls?

Is this just a coincidence? I think not.

Is it the money? What would your dad say .. about you always taking the side of the rich-n-powerful against the weak and the poor and the helpless?

Ken Starr at House Judiciary Committee hearing on Bill Clinton (1998)

I am not going to tell you to go fuck yourself, Ken .. but I admit that it's pretty hard not to.

» Say Hi to Kavanaugh for Me

Say hi to your buddy Brett, for me.

I asked my brother where he got the name for his son .. because there are no Bretts in the family and I dont a Brett.

Bro said he knew a guy at Yale with that name and he liked it. It makes me wonder. Stranger shit has happened.

And bro liked to drink back during his college days. It all seems to perfect .. that he spent the exact same four years at Yale as Kavanaugh did.

I wonder what Tarana Burke thinks about both Ken Starr's actions and Kanye's comments. She is the founder of the #MeToo movement.

I wonder what Jennifer's lawyer thinks.

Jennifer Araoz's lawyer, Kimberly Lerner, says that Jennifer is one of the strongest women she has ever met (11 July 2019)

I knew that Jennifer was a strong woman. That is not easy to do what she did.

Jennifer Araoz says that Jeffrey Epstein raped her when she was 15 (10 July 2019)

That is very difficult .. to talk about that kind of thing like that .. publicly.

» He Who Delights in Executing Righteous Deeds of Vindication for the Oppressed

Scripture says that the Lord » performs righteous deeds of vindication for all who are oppressed. He told Jeremiah that he "delights" in exercising justice.

In other words, he gets off on it .. on exercising justice by performing righteous deeds of vindication.

The term vindicate is defined as »

    1. To defend or support against an enemy; maintain the cause or rights of; deliver from wrong, oppression, or the like.
    2. To support or maintain as true or correct, against denial, censure, or objections; defend; justify.
    3. To demonstrate or prove the value or validity of; justify.
    4. To avenge; punish; retaliate.

When the Eternal One exercises a righteous deed of vindication on your sorry ass ..

Artist sketch of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein (66) wearing a blue jumpsuit in federal court, New York (8 July 2019)

.. this is not something that you recover from .. ever.

You'll see what I mean.

» Is Kanye Able to Feel a Genuine Sense of Empathy and Compassion for Another Sentient Being?

Do you think Kanye is able to feel empathy and compassion? I have my doubts.

The key mechanism in empathy and compassion is to imagine yourself in the shoes of another .. especially someone less fortunate or weaker or less powerful .. and how they must feel.

Central Park Five on CBS Sunday Morning (12 May 2019)

I have studied this very thing in some detail .. because I find the topic genuinely interesting.

People who suffer traumatic emotional injuries during vulnerable times may have the part of them that feels empathy and compassion .. this part of them may be broken.

They can pretend to experience empathy and compassion, without actually feeling it. He doesnt seem to care about the abusive environments in which women are subjected to on a near-daily basis.

» Dragon Energy at Work

As a point of comparison, check out this article by Roger Cohen titled » Trump's Inhumanity Before a Victim of Rape (26 July 2019).

Trump with rape victim Nadia Murad in the Oval Office on 17 July 2019

Does it not appear here, from the look on his face, that Trump genuinely incapable of feeling a sense of empathy and compassion for even the most deserving?

Poor Nadia .. but you must admit that it is a great shot (by Doug Mills).

The look on Trump's face seems to say, "I can't wait 'til these assholes leave so I can have my cheeseburger."

Is this what Kanye means by the sense of dragon energy that he shares with Trump?

Are people with dragon energy incapable of feeling empathy and compassion for another sentient being?

» Is Kanye Able to Put Himself into the Shoes of Another?

He only seems to care about how men feel when women articulate their experiences of abuse. Is this because he is unable to put himself into their shoes? Or because he doesnt give a fuck what they might be experiencing?

When Kanye tells you how the #MeToo movement makes men feel .. he is really telling you how it makes HIM feel. Because he certainly doesnt speak for all men.

I certainly do not feel the way that Kanye feels. I am thinking "Good for women. About time."

Most people feel that empathy and compassion are basic human capacities. But a small number of people seem to genuinely lack such capabilities.

Do you think that Kanye is able to put himself into the shoes of women, and how they must view the world .. where men rule?

Do you think he is able to accurately imagine how someone like Taylor might feel if he barged up onto the stage at an awards ceremony and snatched away the mic from her ..

Kanye snatches away the mic from Taylor 2009 VMAs

.. and proceeded to tell the whole world why she should not be receiving this award? I have my doubts.

» Kanye Should Stick to Making Music

Kanye should stick to making music .. because he seems to say strikingly ignorant things every time he opens his mouth publicly.

Men who have been sexually assaulting women with impunity should be scared. Damn right.

» It Requires a Huge Amount of Courage to Publicly Share Your Story of Abuse

On the other hand, that was a very brave thing for Ellen to do .. to go there like that .. to articulate those things publicly. Who was not impressed?

Letterman knows what I am talking about. Check out his reaction.

Ellen DeGeneres talks with David Letterman about her experiences of sexual abuse at the hands of her stepfather (31 May 2019)

Ellen is 61. Her sexual abuse occurred at age 15. So it has been 45 or 46 years since this happen to her.

» Even After All These Years

You can still see the pain and the hurt in her face that these memories bring.

Ellen DeGeneres falls into a thousand mile stare while talking to Letterman about sexual abuse she suffered 45 years ago at age 15 (31 May 2019)

This is what I call the thousand mile stare .. which comes when you revisit traumatic events in your mind. Who cannot relate to this feeling?

» The Moral Responsibility of Every Sentient Being to Speak Out Publicly Against Abuses that Left Them with Lasting Psychic Scars

I have already written about what I consider to be a moral responsibility of every human being to publicly speak out against the injustices and nastiness and personal transgressions that tend to leave lasting psychic wounds.

I wrote about this in a page titled » Sublimating the Soul-Fucking Torment into a Creative Outlet (29 Oct 2019)

If predatory people think that they might be publicly called out someday on their abusive behaviors .. they will be less likely to follow through with their abusive impulses.

I bet that Ellen knows what I am talking about.

Ellen DeGeneres urges victims of sexual assault to speak up (7 June 2019)

On the other hand, if some fuckhead is able to mistreat the less-powerful with impunity .. then they will have less of a deterrent to dissuade them. Much less.

You want these abusive fuckheads to be scared of mistreating those less powerful than themselves. That's the point, Kanye. That's exactly the point of the #MeToo movement. "Duh."

And if they have been mistreating women the last 30 years .. then damn-straight .. they should be scared.

Except in rare cases, men who treat women with the respect and the dignity that they deserve have nothing to worry about.
