This is a defining trait of Republicans like you. They are quick to criticize everybody else and detail their flaws and shortcomings .. for things that they themselves are guilty of doing.

Say hi to Lindsey Graham for me. At t=6:00 here, your fellow conservative Charlie Sykes calls people like you and Lindsey Graham "obsequious sycophants."

I agree with him there. You fuckers are going to go down in history as » The Spineless Ones .. who did not have the balls to stand up for what is right .. and who timidly shrank from your constitutional duties.

I wonder what Republican strategist Ana Navarro thinks of this (at t=4:30).

Ana says this right after she tells Trump that he avoided serving his country's military like John McCain did because he was » "Pretending you had bone spurs."

[ Not unlike what Five-Deferment Cheney did, the big pussy .. and also like what George W Bush did with the help of his daddy. And probably his mommy, too. ]

But dont take my word for it. Go ahead and listen to Ana say it for yourself.

What does it feel like to, Ben .. to have a girl telling you that you are a spineless invertebrate?

Even Steve Bannon can see that you establishment Republicans are in "full collapse," and that you have no guts. No intestinal fortitude. No moral character.

No courage. No sense of conviction. No balls.

Is this the standard of moral behavior and intestinal fortitude, and dedication to the Constitution, that you want to set as an example for the younger generation to live up to?

Because it certainly seems this way.

At t=5:30 here, Lt Colonel Ralph Peters tells Anderson this:

"The Republicans still dont seem to be committed to the Constitution to which they took their oath to protect and defend. When it comes to the Constitution and Trump's violations, they're still willing to condone it. One would hope that, at some point, more and more Republicans would find the backbone and realize that, at the end of their lives, it's not going to matter how rich they are. It's not going to matter how many times they were reelected. What will matter is » did they do the right thing for their country? Did they do the honorable thing? Even apart from illegality, did they behave ethically and morally? And so far, the answer is a resounding » NO."

But dont take my word for it. Rather, listen to him say it for yourself.

In case you forgot, Ben .. here is the Oath of Office you took.

I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.

You might wan to read that again, Ben .. in case you forgot any parts of it.

You might want to have it framed and put a copy of this Oath on your desk .. right next to the photo of your family.

Speaking of enemies of the Constitution, both foreign and domestic ..

.. here is an image of Trump and Putin during a joint press conference in Helsinki (16 July 2018), where Trump sides with Putin against his own Intelligence agencies.

Why would Trump ever do something like that? You ever wonder about that, Ben?

If Obama ever did something like this (which he never would) Republicans' heads would explode.

» The Pretzel Logic of the Pretzel Man

This is exactly why Ana says that you have twisted yourself into a pretzel .. in aligning yourself with Donald Trump .. because your mouth says one thing, yet your actions say the exact opposite.

And people look at these two opposites .. your words, on the one hand, which claim to espouse your values supporting and defending the Constitution.

And your actions, on the other, which support and defend Donald J Trump .. who does nothing but attack and undermine and assault the very same Constitution to which you claim an allegiance.

Every day he attacks and undermines the Constitution and everything that it stands for. Its institutions. which are designed to place a check and a balance on the corrupting effects of power. His power. His authority.

This is why it is hard to understand how how you are getting from point A to point B.

Ana does not know how you are able to get from Point A to Point B .. but she knows that, however you happen to be getting there .. is it obviously a very circuitous route and path.

So circuitous that you must be all twisted up on the inside .. just like a pretzel.

I know you see this, Ben. It is impossible to miss. She is merely stating the obvious.

What is the value-structure operating behind your decisions as a United States senator?

Because it is obviously not the Constitution.

Do you know this lady here, Ben? .. because you two seem to have a lot in common.

And it is obviously not scripture .. that informs the value-structure operating behind your decisions.

Perhaps you want to take a moment here and ponder this question .. about the value-structure informing your decisions.

Your seemingly hypocritical value-structure.

Because you dont want to go down in the history books as part of the group who destroyed the Constitution.

How ironic would it be .. that the very same people who clamor the loudest about supporting the Constitution .. would be the ones to work so vigorously to destroy it?

I know that it is not easy to confront things that you might not feel ready or strong enough to confront. (Both Colin Kaepernick and Stephen Colbert know what I am talking about.)

But what is the alternative?

And while you are there pondering the composition of your current value-structure .. you might want to ask yourself if you have what it takes .. to stand up for right against wrong.
