I feel like I have evolved morally from a place not very unlike where you are now. So I know many of the struggles that people deal with in getting from point A to point B.

When you are left to your own devices .. and I hear the weeping and the gnashing of teeth ..

Come Judgment day .. you are basically going to have two main groups. One here and another over there. Big groups.

Now, if you happen to find yourself standing around with a bunch of people who are known to have been unnecessarily cruel to poor children .. by separating them from their poor, vulnerable parents, who are seeking refuge from violence and oppression ..

.. and caging them like animals in overcrowded conditions ..

.. cooped up like warehoused chickens for punishingly-long lengths-of-time ..

.. then, this is not going to be a good day for you, my friend. You will be thinking, "This is the worst day of my life."

You'll see what I mean .. sooner of later. Every day, when you wake up, you will be one step closer to seeing exactly what I mean. Dont say you werent warned.

Dont say I didnt try to warn you. My hands are clean. I have washed my hands of you. My conscience is clear. I now must leave you to your own devices.

When it was time for you to step up and do the right thing, you cowered in fear. When it was time for you speak out against what is wrong, you were unable to summon the moral courage and instead remained silent.

You should read up on the story of the complicit Nazi, Albert Speer. You two have a number of traits in common.

Why dont you write a book telling your fellow Republicans how they need to develop character, and a moral compass, and intestinal fortitude .. so they will be able to stand up for what is right?

I think we all know the reason why you won't be writing that book.

Future generations will look back at you and your fellow spineless Republicans, shaking their heads in disgust, and wondering how you and your party could have gone so far astray.

Speaking of Republicans who have gone astray .. say hi to Mike Pence the hypocrite for me.

You two are obviously birds-of-a-feather .. you and Mike Pence.

You both have two drastically different sets of standards. There are the standards that you have for others, and then there are those that you have for yourselves.

Everybody does this to one degree or another. But you and Mike Pence have taken hypocrisy to a whole 'nuther level.

At t=1:30 here, your fellow conservative, Jennifer Rubin, calls your vote, and those of so-called "constitutional conservatives" like you, an example of "peak supineness of Republicans."

She uses the word supine, which is defined as » Marked by or showing lethargy, passivity, or blameworthy indifference.

But I can't help but think that the word she really wanted to use was » prostrate, which is defined as » To put or throw flat with the face down, as in submission or adoration.

And also » To reduce to extreme weakness or incapacitation.

This is just a nice way of saying that you are a big pussy. You certainly like to talk as though you are a big supporter of the Constitution .. but your actions say otherwise.

Your actions say that you are really too big of a pussy step up as a United States senator and to do your job by standing up to blatant executive overreach.

And everybody knows that actions speak louder than words.

You need to get up off your knees, Ben, and wipe your mouth .. because it's embarrassing for a United States senator to act like this.

The Founders of our nation must be rolling over in their graves .. to see you servicing the President this way. "How should I vote, Mr President?"

I am not going to tell you to go fuck yourself, Ben .. because Coffee Joe says that you are good dude. But I admit that it is pretty hard not to.

I will let your fellow conservative, Jennifer Rubin, tell you to go fuck yourself .. where she says:

What is the purpose if you are going to sell your soul and remain in the Senate, and literally consign your powers, consign your obligations to the executive branch .. what really is the purpose? These people have been weak. They have capitulated."

I must admit .. that this is pretty savage. She is not mincing words.

I am disappointed with you too, Ben. Very disappointed. And I am not the only one who thinks you are a hypocrite .. who likes to criticize others for the very same shortcomings that you yourself possess in spades.

It is off-topic .. but after writing about so much spinelessness .. I want to conclude this page by mentioning Selma Blair.

Because I was struck by her courage here .. where she sits down with Robin Roberts on Nightline (27 Feb 2019).

She is very brave. And she carries herself so well .. despite the challenges she faces. Good for her.

She is your age, Ben. She is from Michigan.

I happen to know a thing or two about diagnoses .. and girls from Michigan.
